What are you putting in your bath?

They relax us, clean us, invigorate us, and surround us in wonderful scents. Do we still value our baths or are we strictly a shower society? We set out to find the answer.

Christine is our Health and Beauty Adviser and we could not be happier that she agreed to come on board. Her knowledge of inner and outer beauty is highly valued.

For the love of wigs

Written with Christine C.

Some people have known how fun and practical wigs can be. They are actually able to transform a person into a new look. People are learning that instead of  "frying and dying" your hair, that wigs can help you have any style you want in a matter of minutes. All for the inexpensive price of a pair of shoes on sale!

With a wig, you can look any way you want. If you don't feel the part? What if you feel insecure? Christine recommends faking it. It falls under the heading of, "fake it until you make it." Be that sassy red head that isn't afraid to go dancing or that raven haired beauty that doesn't feel our of place at the heavy metal show!

Having a variety of wigs can take a lot of time and stress out of your beauty tasks. Plus, wigs often mean less unnatural chemicals on your scalp. They are extra warm in the winter and great for being mysterious. Christine says, that "there is just something fun about a woman who looks a little different every time you see her, but is always completely herself..whatever faucet of herself she may choose to display."

Just for us girls

I have to be honest, I have not worn make-up in quite some time. Years back, I noticed that when I wore foundation, I broke out. The more I wore it, the more I needed to wear it. Finally, I just gave up with it all together. Some women told me that it was a bold move, however to me, it was an act of frustration. Once in a while, I would wear some eyeliner and eye shadow, but the eyeliner would soon smear or it would simply wear off.

I recently spoke with Christine about my decade long plight. Her answers actually inspired me and that is why I chose to address them here. It seems that the new trend is "less is more." Full face coverage is now a thing of the past as women have decided that it is our imperfections that make us beautiful.

If you are planning on using make up at all, healthy glows are in. Neutral colors, sun kissed cheeks, and a little highlight is all that it takes. Top it all off with rose or nude lips and you are set! If you chose to emphasize your eyes, long lashes, thick eyebrows, and eyeliner on the upper lid is what is trending.
